Energy to Help I've been moved to help more people expand their horizons in understanding how energy and intent can change their lives. And as part of this, I've begun teaching what I'm calling "Energy to Help." In this class, we discuss what energy is, how to become more aware of the energy available to you and how to access it and use it in your life. I explain how I work with energy to heal myself, clients, situations, pets... most anything can be improved with energy and clear, good intent. As part of the class, students will receive a manual explaining these healing techniques for their future reference and to share with anyone they wish. Energy to Help isn't a secret, it's not magic, it's easy to share and I hope you are moved to share it with everyone! There are a variety of techniques becoming popular that utilize the technique of tapping on your energy meridians to release emotional tensions, memories and sometimes to help with physical issues. I'll teach you about this concept and teach you some basic techniques. We'll talk about your energetic body, learn some basics about the body's energy meridians. No experience needed. One of the more popular methods of tapping include EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique made popular by Gary Craig). Some credit Dr. Roger Callahan with discovering the technique. His method Thought Field Therapy® (TFT) has over 30 years of history. But in reality, tapping is related directly to ancient acupuncture techniques used in the Far East (and more commonly now here) since before recorded history. No previous experience needed or special equipment required. You will leave the class with a new tool you can use to help yourself on a daily basis. Healing with Sound For those of you who are mothers and have rocked, patted or hummed your children to sleep or when they were ill… or for those who may have had mothers who did these things, then you have already experienced healing with sound. What… too simple for you? No… that’s just how simple it is. Healing with sound is an exciting area being explored by scientists, doctors, alternative medicine practitioners and anyone interested in keeping their bodies happy and healthy. In our class we will explore toning, chanting, drumming. We will discuss sound frequencies and the methods they can be incorporated into music and other healing techniques. We will work with music, voices, tuning forks, tibetan singing bowls and a digital frequency generator. Each participant will have the chance to play hands-on with an assortment of tools and instruments. Generally the class is noisy and fun.
Basic Aromatherapy Aromatherapy has a long and colorful history. Today it is used casually to refreshen the atmosphere in a room and therapeutically to calm and heal. Not all oils are created equal and this class can help you determine which oils to work with and how to work with them safely. We learn about essentail oils and how they are made and used. We'll discuss sources of oils and resources for additional information. Students receive a selection of sample sized oils and instructions to take home and experiment with.
